The emphasis of the classes is on concentration, breathing and relaxation. I sometimes touch on some of the philosophy involved, however only as background knowledge.

Beginners learn two breathing exercises, 12 basic postures and a few of their variations. Intermediates go on to discover and practice more challenging variations, postures and bandhas.

Through the practice of the above physical exercises come many benefits from increased flexibility/muscle tone, to increased vitality and mental stability, however its greatest gift is a better knowledge of ourselves.
